All you have to do is melt the premade base, customize it with your favorite colors and scents, and pour it into a mold. Once you get the hang of the process, you can experiment with advanced techniques, like layers and swirls.
Keep in mind that soap bases start to melt around 120 degrees F. Use heat-safe tools and handle with care – melted soap can hurt if dripped or splashed on the skin. Ingredients:
• Oval silicone soap mold
• 2 cups of melt and pour soap base, cut in cubes
• 1 tablespoon of alkanet root powder here
• Handful of dried lavender buds
• 50 drops of lavender essential oil
• 10 drops of frankincense essential oil
Instructions:
1. Cut the soap base into cubes.
2. Melt the soap base over a double boiler on low to medium heat. Continue steering until the soap base is melted.
3. Once the soap base is melted, add the alkanet root powder, mix well. Add essential oils.
4. Pour into the silicone mold. Put a little bit of the lavender buds on top of the soap for decoration. Spray pure alcohol on top of the soap to get rid of the bubbles, if any.
5. Let dry for 24-hours before unmolding.
